I think I am going to watch XHCNB take on UNC at 4:30. There's some garbage football on before that, but the WVU vs UNC game is the first real game of the day.

Anyone else notice Tulane got skunked by Virginia Tech tonight? A good turnaround season for the Hokies. Yes. I celebrated. 6-6 team obliterating a team higher ranked than Troy. That team was from the AAC and the ACC took them out with gusto...hmmmmm. I hated how we ended but honestly, with JS and the folks we had, we were the best of the G5. Stuff happens. Reality smacks you in the face. However, for our future we were at the top of the heap. We can get there again!!!!

BC beats SMU another 6-6 smashes AAC bigun....... Now I really believe that we were the best G5. Oregon should annihilate Liberty but let's just wait and see.

FSU back ups not too ready for Georgia Bowl games have lost all meaning. FSU lost this game before kickoff. It’s a shame. Georgia and FSU should have been a good game.

Last nights Orange Bowl was an example of cultural differences. Now granted Georgia lost a close one to Alabama and a catch by a Bama player probably should have been over turned which led to a touchdown. Plus they had won two championships. So, perhaps their attitude was more like.: We know Texas beat Bama early so they are in and Texas Won our Championship game. So, all we can do is put on a show emphasizing that we are one of the four best. This is the culture of a Champion. FSU: We are just like Washington and Michigan we won all our games we should have been there.
This is the cultural difference: FSU not as good without Jordon Travis but dang it we did what we were supposed to do and now we are crying and we are going to have 23 guys take their ball home and whine. Georgia culture at this time: Yep crap happens. SO WHAT NOW WHAT? I am sorry to do this to you little bitches at FSU but we gonna B**** slap you back to Kindergarten just to show you that ESPN is right in one way…..When it comes to playoffs SEC at this time is da king.
I am not a Georgia or Alabama fan but excellence is hard not to appreciate and THEY DO NOT PAY RANSOM NIL MONIES. At least at this time.
Culture of winning and being there for your team is being ruined. So just for a short time I am gonna root for the guys who have had just a touch of the old days of football in them.
It’s a new world but last night Georgia love or hate them said to everyone THIS IS WHAT THE BRAVE NEW WORLD OF COLLEGE ATHLETICS IS LOOSING.
Never did I think I would root for Georgia and Bama but for this year I am.

PS We too had the downer aspect after JS left and we knew the rest of the guys were leaving etc. but no one bailed on opting out and only couple in portal before. JS did have a good culture. The team was a little flat till the end but Kimani, Richard, Dell, Javon and so many others. Class! FSU Not Norvell’s fault but FSU as a whole has GIANT GINORMOUS WOKE ISSUES. After, teaching students out of there for 25 years or so and 33 years total out of UF and FSU I quit this year. Equity kills and that is exactly what FSU football team displayed. I am sure not all of them but if your boat is manned heavily with that mentality it is going to show. So, maybe most everyone can see it in most schools but not quite yet at Troy and not in a Georgia football team. Sorry FSU but Inknow WAY too much of the inner workings on a school level to just have enjoyed your bashing last nite!

Buzz, You aint lying. I was in Tallahassee earlier this week and the air is filled with failure. Everywhere we went was just trashed. Starbucks was dirty and the socialists pretending to work there didn't work. Momo's pizza which was once a regionally famous pizza joint is terrible. Again, socialists making pizza makes bad pizza. I really despise going there.

The people working at the bookstore were very friendly and the young lady at the cafe made two awesome cups of evening coffee for our ride home. Also points for the whole place being queer friendly and full of geeks of all ages and stripes. It's always fun to go there. The 20 something at the restaurant we ate at was great and we commiserated over the game on the tv. Like everything else, Tallahassee is a mixed bag of a lot of different people with different ideas. *Starbucks in Thassee tends to be a reflection of the manager more than anything else. The one at Kerry Forest is typically really good. The one by Trader Joe's has always been awful. Haven't tried the new one by the mall, and the one by Home2 is hit or miss but generally ok. It's not "socialists." It's management.

I know my rant went a little off from football. But being exposed to faculty development and knowing some of the inner workings as to administration advancement THEN actually getting to talk to students who have completed their undergraduate and then graduate medical degrees. It is not a phenomenon that is just made up by a crotchety old dude. My final FSU student and I had a good relationship as to discussing matters. Then on the last day of her rotation with me. I told her I appreciated her honesty and willingness to discuss these matters. I wished her luck in her career and life but final statement to her was this: if your side (as in how you view things) wins in medicine and the United States as a whole you will rue the day that it becomes as you see it. If my side wins you will always despise things that you think are not right but at least your children and their children and their children’s children will have a chance at an America in which you grew up in until this point. I know you don’t agree but it is this way and I pray for your sides views to fail and fall upon the ash heap of failed ideas of our world. She left smiling and to this day her evaluations of me , I have never read. I resigned the next day from the faculty. So, I was not surprised by the FSU football team taking it to the level of the worst of what we have going on in colleges today.

There's a ton of hard working young people there who don't deserve it.

I know nothing of Tallahassee local politics but just what I have heard. Almost every place has good folks and young people. When the good ones are outnumbered by the woke ones the place goes to crap every time.

I grew up on the streets of Tallahassee.
I go there frequently.
It's far less anecdotal for me to say "it is not the same place and has been very affected by the wokeness that has turned it into a less than good city. It's a generality for sure; one could even say it's a stereotype. And stereotypes have a bad rap. They're there for a reason. Gravity is stereotypically sure to pull you down to earth, for instance.
Are there good folks there? Sure. Is there the ilk of what TBB is talking about. Absolutely.

None the less FSU as a football team was overwhelmed or coerced by a general feeling by the administration that every man for himself is ok. Then you get a 63-3 loss of a previously undefeated team at the hands of a team that did not look at the world the same way. This will mark FSU during realignment. SEC is not going to be impressed.

Ok, I have to admit it: The semi-final games were really good games. It honestly was not just the competitiveness but no this one or that one sitting out talk. You may not have been a fan of any of the teams and perhaps even loathed the teams but those were two great college games.

Of course they didn’t beat Bamer and that was the one win they needed and didn’t get it done.
