Sucks for the guys who transferred out! Maybe the guys we have now will pay attention to that. IMO, Effe is the only one of those who entered the portal that might POSSIBLY have improved his status/draft potential.

He just added to the bench depth at SMU.

SMU got in a unanimous 5-star transfer from Louisville that is expected to be the starter. They also got in a 4-star transfer who played some for Iowa State before getting injured, and he's apparently ready to play... plus they got a transfer from Eastern Michigan who was an All-MAC player.
Odigie is going to find difficulty getting the same amount of playing time he had at Troy. If anything, it will hurt his stock not getting as much playing time.

IMO, Effe had a chance to dominate the Sunbelt and to be a factor in the Mid Major arena. I think y’all are right. He didn’t help his draft prospects.

IMO, Effe had a chance to dominate the Sunbelt and to be a factor in the Mid Major arena. I think y’all are right. He didn’t help his draft prospects. He may have even hurt his Foriegn Pro prospects. Look at Nick Stampley's 3-year record at Troy, AND where HE landed! Efe would have surpassed these numbers had he remained a Trojan. Nick Stampley Inks Professional Contract in Finland
"The Florida native spent the past three seasons with Troy, averaging seven points and 4.9 rebounds on 41.7 percent shooting from the field. Stampley exploded on the scene in 2020-21 when he led the team in scoring with 12.6 points on a 44.1/30.4/67.8 shooting split. That season, Stampley scored his career-high of 24 against Coastal Carolina and started all 27 games. In three seasons, the 2021-22 Preseason All-Sun Belt Third Team member played 89 games for 1,972 minutes while starting in 60 games." Troy Athletics Communications
