It would seem that an explanation if this is misleading would be in order?

I’d bet $100 that preportal, Troy Athletes graduation rate exceeded Troy University overall graduation rate. Never the less, this is an embarrassing black eye to the University and that major changes are due. Dunno

Troy is drastically lagging in several areas and I know because I had two of my kids attend here with one graduating. The CSI department is an absolute embarasement and joke. My son transfered to UCF and WOW the difference was night and day (got him a job in NYC). My daughter graduated in Biology and it wasn't much better. Tech and Medical are the future and we have very few opportunities for students with the exception of nursing. Quit worrying about how many exchange students we have and focus on offering opportunities for these kids to have a future. Our graduation rate is low because kids are leaving and finishing elsewhere.

I'd be willing to bet that Troy University has a much higher percentage of enrollees who are nontraditional students — people who have been in the workforce but are trying to better themselves or change careers — than most of these universities. Troy has traded on online education for decades, and that's a difficult life to live: balancing classes, homework, kids, spouse and a job. My mom did it, but my dad sacrificed a lot by working two and three jobs to help make ends meet. Not everyone has that type of support system, leading to a higher dropout rate.

Every college is offering online. My son graduated from UCF with a current enrollment around 80,000. Do all of those attend campus? Not even close. He would have classes with 1,500 enrolled and the classroom seated 400. They encouraged you to do online. I know it is not fair to compare UCF in Orlando to Troy but the opportunities upon graduating are night and day difference. My daughter attended Troy on the Millenium Scholarship. Very proud of her academically and she graduated Cum Laude with a degree in Biomedical Science. However in hindsight, my desire for her to attend Troy coupled with the scholarship made the decision easy, but her attending Troy with the degree she earned has significantly hampered her in job searches. They want research experience which she did not get at Troy.

Just out of curiosity, what majors does Troy offer that when combined with ROTC will earn a commission in the Air Force? Just curious if you need a strong STEM or ABET degree.

I have an employee who's brother just retired as a Lt Colonel in the USAF. He started as enlisted and then went through a program to become an officer. He was good with computers so they sent him to Clemson for his Computer degree. Clemson had a great computer dept
