Just kidding. Me and other alumni have asked but it won't happen. I was hoping there would be a video of the coaches speeches from one of the tour dates? It is next to impossible for myself or others to make a 6-9 hour drive to attend. What are the coaches saying??

What did they say when you asked them?

they are talking about what has been accomplished in all sports - coach brown is positive but with our lack of depth on the front lines - its going to be a rough start said he was very pleased with our quarterback play and running back depth

Problem is that a lot of the Troy administration wasn't aware of the old Wallace scholarship that so Many from Cent and south Florida attended Troy on And we used to heavily recruit those areas in the 80's and early to late 90's. There lies the challenge, build a group, a network if you will, of Troy folks willing to meet two or three times a year and THEY WILL COME. Talk with Faith and her team and they will help you. Sometimes we have to do our part first, just the way it is. You do that, guarantee a good number, get a sponsor maybe two, they will come. Lots of folks willing to get you the tools you need, just don't give up.

You have to have 25 to charter a club. There are existing alumni associations now in the Metro Tampa area. It is to spread out to effectively arrange one here. However I know of 25-50 that would drive the hour or so to show up for the Trojan Tour if it was in the Metro Tampa I-4 corridor. I really think they are missing a golden opportunity to reconnect with Alumni now in their mid 40's to early to mid 50's in prime earning years. Jmo, that and a dollar get you a .99 cent coffee at McDonalds

I would love to but the problem is the logistics. We are really spread out and as far as former players most Belong to the T-Club which is a alumni association. I understand the logistics of bringing the tour 8 hours south but I still believe we would have a good turnout

I'm not sure, but I think there is a University presence there already at least there use to be. Get with Faith, have her staff run you a list of known alumni emails in the zip codes around Orlando and get the word out. Like I said above, sometimes you have to act first. Build that chapter over the next few months, throw a watch party for Wisconsin, gin up some interest, THEN go to the AD and start requesting. I just think they want to see some commitment from the fan base first. Or GUARANTEE 100 folks and they might come, that means YOU PAY. That gets them there, maybe the next years after THEY PAY. Again if you want it bad enough you got work and show them it is worth it. Alumni affairs will help, just got to ask.

They've done Atlanta in the past. Why not Orlando? Wouldn't hurt to ask.
