This is great work and provides some interesting insights. The one that still stings is the 2007 Blakeney team that started 0-2 and wound up 8-4 but did not get a Bowl invitation. By the way, our first win that season was a thrashing over Oklahoma State, 41-23, yet the powers to be decided we were not worthy of playing in the postseason. Thanks for sharing this recap, Bennekles.
Go TROY!

What sucked about that year was we knew that would happen. There was immense pressure on the FAU game to end the regular season. It's the worst home loss I've attended except maybe Abilene Christian.

Do you remember the Troy student stealing the giant FAU flag at the end of the game? He almost made it to the concourse but was caught by a fowl owl on the prowl at the last minute.

I remember the flag, but I do not remember those hijinks!

I rember some leg twisting and other dirty play by the Fouls. I’ve never left a game mor mad at the opposing team than that one.

"It's How You Finish". Sounds like the autobiography of our former coach.

Remember the old saying about the guy who gets knocked down and gets back up and has it happen again and one coach says we need that kid and the other one says hell no! We need the kid who is knocking him down.! 1-2 starts and finishing well is good but I would much rather be 3-0 or at least 2-1 and keep it going.
