You neither recruited these two, nor finished what you started with these guys. I'm surprised that you didn't have the Tulane Athletic Department photoshop their helmets. That "T" stands for the Troy Normal School, not Tulame. It's embarrassing that half of your Tweeters are reposts or pics of Normal School School accomplishments or players. Appreciate the accomplishments while you were here, but how you left...just GTF outta here.

Relationships have their moments. If I had been that close for two years and respected them that much and moved on, I would have had my picture in my present circumstances (shirt) taken with them as well. As to most of tweets being accomplishments here at Troy. Kind of makes sense. Not ashamed of them at all and proud of them. I hope the best for him because football as a business has a down side but being gracious and grateful has no down side. Being a whimp is bad but being non-realistic only hurts yourself because you are not in charge of what others chose freely to do. Sorry, but being bitter as GTF out of here is just taking that aspect of life is not good for you or anyone else. Initially, yes we were all disappointed but life goes on and if our paths cross again on the gridiron I would not run the score up even if I had the chance. 73-7 is good enough for me!

I'm ok with it. Changes happen in pro football. These three professionals don't seem to mind, so it is what it is.

Neal Brown left AFTER his bowl game. Came back to address the crowd at Trojans Arena...this guy was at the Bowl Press Conference on Tuesday and at his Press Conference at Tulane on Wednesday...if Tulane wanted him so bad, they would have waited. Like I said, he neither recruited them nor lived up to his end of the bargain. Heck, Kimani even played in the game, when he had the most to lose with an injury.

Agree, Timing is everything, for both parties. Tulane had stipulations, take it or leave it, etc. $2 mill swing for JS. Money Talks, Coaches walk.

Agree, Timing is everything, for both parties. Tulane had stipulations, take it or leave it, etc. $2 mill swing for JS. Money Talks, Coaches walk. I'm with ya Ho. As much as I loved having him here and seeing what he did for our program, it's all tainted by how he left. There's no way you can't tell me that he couldn't have said to Tulane, 'you'll want me to leave you honorably when the time comes and I need to do the same now while I'm at Troy". If they wanted him SOOO badly, what were they gonna do? Go a different direction because he wanted to stay a few more weeks and finish out? Could all they were investing NOT wait a few weeks? "But they gave him X amount for him to come NOW and who would turn that down?", you say. What you're really saying is that integrity has a price. "I won't do the dishonorable thing for $200,000 but if you're saying you'll give me $2,000,000 more well then I'll come now for that. You either have scruples or you don't have scruples. "I wouldn't trade my family for $200 but if you give me Bill Gates-sized money, well....I'd have to think about it." Naah, the answer is NO not at ANY price. You do the right thing. If it looks like you're losing out on a lot, just realize you aren't. It's an investment in something else that money can't buy. That's a blessing that at some point down the road, because you sowed a good crop of character, you might get to keep your integrity AND be given the cash prize too. Who knows?! Even if you don't see it later. You did the right and honorable thing. I doubt I could ever be convinced that JS did an honorable thing. A ruinous stain on an otherwise solid performance. He's a beast competitor, right? It has been said that in a race, all runners run their absolute best but only one wins and gets the prize. Imagine easily leading the entire race, with everyone cheering you on, and glory in your grasp only to stumble at the very end and losing! No one cares if you led the whole way and lost. JS got his money. He lost my respect. To be such a competitor, he lost the competition that matters most in my eyes, especially when I thought he cared about these sorts of things so much. In the end, apparently not. Just money. So yeah. Get outta here. Ya lost.
