I would have put my softball recap on this thread, but just saw it. Please go read it before you say they had a good year. The best out of conference win was RPI #110 North Alabama. They should have 100% gone to the NIT - I followed the NIT two years ago and the team that won it played an extra 10 games. The very next year they went to the NCAA and won a game against the regional host. It makes a big difference in getting playing time for the younger players, which we had a lot of, and it will be worth every penny to get that kind of experience. I would have even donated toward it.

If ROI was the reason the invite wasn't accepted, then that'd pretty sh**ty.
At least UTA and App State believe in their softball programs to be good investments... someone has to, right?

Likely no one is around to pull the trigger?? Dunno, but Jeremy left weeks ago. I suppose Sandy Atkins coulda, woulda, shoulda (and likely was) involved.

Invalid. The entire softball program has a negative ROI. If your point was followed, their wouldn’t be a softball program at all.
