All we can do is prepare for the worst and hope for the best.

Does anyone have an idea of when some of these (I think there are seven or eight) coaching hires “per sources” will be confirmed by Troy University or Troy Athletics?
I know the Holidays probably have delayed decisions with university personnel being off, but it would be nice to hear some positive news come out this week. While this silence has been deafening, the individual student-athletes making announcements regarding their departures has not‼️

I can't wait to see official updates to the website.

The athletics department has put together a very impressive group of coaches. I expect another 10 win season.

The athletics department has put together a very impressive group of coaches. I expect another 10 win season. Dangerous. Gerard Parker is hiring the coaches. Every coaching hire, in any sport is a roll of the dice. Sure, cheer and provide support for another 10 wins but if your stated expectations are 10 wins (which that case would be a probable SB championship), you are setting yourself up for disappointment. Especially so early. One game at a time.

I did not expect that 9 wins........Not sure I even expected this good 8 wins........Well given the way the world is that is pretty good 7 wins........Well we got into a bowl and turned our defense over almost entirely....decent job keeping it together HCGP 6 wins....... We came real close to be even better with those two dang gone losses but I kind of expected to have to rebuild 5 wins........We had so much to deal wtih and the turn over in the team. I think we will be ok because the guys are young and HCGP seems to be able to make adjustments. 4 wins.......You know Neal Brown won 4 games ( I think) in his first year. There are signs of hope and HCGP seems to be able to make adjustments. 3 wins........uh oh 2 wins........oh no 1 win.........WHAT? *%$$*^*^^^&$&^###!!!! O for..........No comment....The sky is falling.......does life have meaning? Where is Fester when you need to blame someone?

We will be fine, may be rebuilding, may blow the doors down, may go 0-12, may be average. End of the day they deserve our support. We want to be better than other schools, we need to step it up and support whether winning or losing. Fair weather fans can leave

Fair weather fans can leave The above was a general perception of our fan base @ those win totals. In the dale an final years of Larry Legend I was one of the actual 5-6 K that sat thru the games. But yes they deserve our support. However, it is a tad bit easier when winning. Even for a non-fair weather fan.

It's a bit unreasonable to expect a 10-win season in 2024. We're losing a lot of players that are NFL-worthy, and some others to the portal that are committing to P5's. Then there are the players who are simply graduating.
Not to say it can't be done. I believe it can be. Heck, I believe HCGP could lead Troy to a 13-1 season like App State had under first-year coach Eli Drinkwitz. Anything's possible.
For now, I'm going to be realistic and hope for a bowl... that's all I hoped for in Sumrall's first year, and he delivered way more.

That's either great salesmanship or insanity or both. Either way Ho all in.

Whoever is in charge of the bios on troytrojans.com... could you please update Ms. Judy's bio? Don't talk to her about it, just do it. We don't bother The Queen with such small matters. troytrojans.com/sports/football/roster/staff/judy-morgan/9I wrote a little something that can be cut and pasted: Ms. Judy Morgan, the heart and soul of the Troy University Trojans football program, has been a dedicated administrator for nearly three decades. Affectionately known as "Ms. Judy," she embarked on her remarkable journey under the tutelage of legendary coach Larry Blakeney, setting the stage for an enduring legacy. With unwavering commitment, Ms. Judy has weathered coaching transitions, serving with distinction under esteemed mentors like Neal Brown and Jon Sumrall. Currently an integral part of Head Coach Gerad Parker's team, she is the steadfast foundation upon which Troy football stands. Celebrating an extraordinary milestone, Ms. Judy's nearly 30-year tenure speaks volumes about her unparalleled dedication and loyalty. In an ever-evolving sports landscape, her enduring presence symbolizes the continuity and stability that define the Troy University football program. Throughout her illustrious career, Ms. Judy has seamlessly coordinated events, facilitated recruiting efforts, and meticulously maintained the program's invaluable information database. Her contributions extend far beyond the administrative realm, embodying the essence of Trojan pride and spirit. A native of Pike and Coffee counties, Ms. Judy is a proud graduate of Zion Chapel High School and attended Wallace Business College. Her roots run deep in the Troy community, where she has called home for decades. Beyond her professional achievements, Ms. Judy is the epitome of Trojan dedication, a sentiment echoed by all who have had the privilege of working alongside her. As the heartbeat of Troy football, Ms. Judy Morgan remains an indispensable part of the Trojan family, weaving an indelible thread into the rich tapestry of the program's history. Her enduring legacy is a testament to the profound impact of a career marked by passion, resilience, and an unwavering commitment to excellence.
